Applying for a Blue Card
Under new laws introduced in August 2020 you must hold a valid blue card before starting any child related work or volunteering. All executive committee members and any coach, assistant coach or manager of any team that includes players under the age of 18 must hold a blue card. There is no cost in this process as a volunteer and the application process is all handled online.
How to apply for a blue or exemption card
To apply for a blue or exemption card, follow these 4 steps:
1. Have a customer reference number (CRN) from the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR)
2. Register for an online account.
3. Forward the account number details in the email you will receive from Blue Card Services and your date of birth to the Secretary.
4. Apply for your blue or exemption card using the online applicant portal once you receive an email confirmation from the club linking your account.
